Dr Bodrul Alam (m)

MBChB, MRCGP (Edinburgh 2007)

Dr Alam qualified from the University of Manchester in 2001 and joined the surgery in August 2007.

He leads the Diabetic Clinic at the practice with Dr Jain and jointly runs the Baby clinic with Dr Chew.  He is the lead in Cancer Care Reviews.

He is a clinical board member at the local CCG and is a member of various Committees.

Dr Joanne Chew (f)

MBChB (Sheffield 2001), DRCOG(2008), DFSRH(2009), MRCGP(2010)

Dr Chew graduated from Sheffield university in 2001 and undertook her postgraduate training in Hull and Greater Manchester. She worked in Anaesthetics for four and half years then transferred to GP training in 2007.  She worked as a salaried GP between 2010 and 2012 at Littleborough Group Practice then took up the post at Edenfield Road Surgery in 2012 becoming a partner in 2015.

She has interests in Female and sexual Health, Chronic pain, Minor Surgery Clinics which involve the excision of skin lesions, Cryotherapy and Steroid injections.  Dr Chew fits and removes the Contraceptive Implants and Coils.

Dr Chew works with Dr Alam in the weekly Baby Clinic and is a tutor for Manchester Medical Students.  Dr Chew is the Practice Lead GP for Palliative Care and has monthly meetings with the District Nurses and Palliative Care Nurses to discuss patients on the Gold Standard Framework Register.

Dr Joseph O Omofuma (m)

MBBS (2000), MRCGP (London 2013) DSRH

Dr Omofuma joined the practice fully in February 2018. He's an Experienced GP with a background in Emergency medicine. His special interests include Mental Health which he is the clinical Lead, Teaching medical students ,Minor Surgery, steroid Joint injections and sexual/Reproductive health. He also sits on the Board of the Rochdale Health Alliance representing Rochdale West. 

 

Dr Shagufta Ali (f)

MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Babita Jain (f)

MBBS (1995) DRCOG (2004) Dip Diabetes (2009) MRCGP (2010) DFSRH (2012)

Dr Jain Joined Edenfield Road Surgery in July 2020.  Her special interests are diabetes management, women's health, joint injections and cryotherapy for warts and verruca's.
